Community rules
Last updated: 2026-10-20
soffa.tv is a living room, not a stage. Rooms are small and private, and most people here are watching with friends and family. These rules keep it that way. They are part of the User agreement.
1. Be kind
- No harassment, threats, bullying or insults, in chat, in room names, in user names or in voice.
- No hate speech: attacks on people for their ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or similar.
- No sexual content involving minors, in any form, ever. We report it to the authorities.
- No doxxing: do not share other people’s personal information (addresses, phone numbers, private photos) without their consent.
- Do not impersonate other people or the soffa.tv team.
2. Respect rights
- Add only video you have the right to share. Official YouTube, Rutube and VK Video embeds are fine: the platform decides what is available. Direct links and uploads are your responsibility.
- Do not add links to pirated copies of films or series, to streams that bypass paywalls, or to DRM-protected services through any kind of workaround.
- Do not upload subtitles or other files you do not have the right to distribute.
- If a rights holder complains, the link or file is removed. Repeated complaints close the account.
3. No spam and no abuse of the Service
- No unsolicited advertising, referral links, scams or repeated identical messages.
- No bots, scripts or attempts to overload rooms, bypass rate limits, or break into other people’s rooms.
- Do not try to bypass the free daily limit, the age rules or the ad settings.
- No malware, phishing links or links that pretend to be something they are not.
4. Adults only where it matters
Explicit adult content may be watched only in rooms where every participant is 18 or over, is not a 16–17 user and has joined knowing what the room is about. Rooms with adult content must not be advertised publicly as soffa.tv rooms. Users under 16 may not use the Service at all.
5. Hosts
The host sets the tone. Hosts can remove participants, delete chat messages and restrict playback control. If you host a room, you are expected to deal with problems in it; if you cannot, report them to us.
6. What we do when rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is: a warning, deletion of the content, removal from the room, a temporary restriction, closing the room, or a permanent ban. Copyright complaints, child safety and threats of violence are handled immediately and without warning. We may keep a record of the violation (see the Privacy policy) so bans stick.
If you think we got it wrong, write to support and explain. We will look again.
7. How to report
Use the report form at /report for spam, abuse or other problems with a room, a message or a user, or the copyright form at /legal/takedown if you are a rights holder. You can also email support@soffa.tv. Reports are confidential: the person you report does not learn who reported them.
